Staff was super in their work-up prior to being seen by Dr. Jouchum. At that point this patient felt he was on a short fuse setting w/provider. I had a vision-related medical condition previously recognized by the VA as a disability I notified him about (even in my prior appointment) that was conveniently ignored by him and not discussed in either of my two last consults w/this provider. I even showed him a recent VA decision discussing an aspect of that condition. I did not ask him for a supporting or dissenting opinion on same-just a documenting in my consult of an incident I had experienced in April 2023 involving that condition that had several human witnesses while my wife & I were overseas. He refused to do so, using previously set-up office protocol as reasoning behind his decision. I still do not understand or agree with that decision . However, he is the doctor-I am not! I am just one of several patients that provide an income for him as well as pays his practices bills. Is this the road our medical care is now going down? And why?
