Ive been a patient at Florida Eye Clinic for over 60 years. Recently I had a complex issue that one of their doctors couldnt diagnose with two visits. I ended up seeing two different doctors at another, reputable eye clinic. The specialist there put me on two eye drops for over 3 months. He saw me once in the interim for 5 minutes and told me to continue what I was doing. When it was time for my regular appointment at Florida Eye Clinic I saw Dr. Shaikh. After I explained what had been going on for four months, Dr. Shaikh examined me carefully and spent quite a bit of time working through what the issue might be. It was amazing to watch her mind work as she thought about each possibility and went through the process of elimination until she arrived at a diagnosis. She prescribed several medications and had me come back in 6 weeks. When I returned my eyes were healthy and clear. If she hadnt been so persistent and meticulous Id still be using meds that were never going to cure me. Ill be a patient for life.
